The change of the grit opening can be judged according to the spray angle when the grit is sprayed. The spray angle is generally between 20°-30°. The grit is discharged in a rope shape, indicating that the grit port is small, and the grit concentration is higher at this time. The sedimentation sand is sprayed out in an umbrella shape, indicating that the sedimentation port is large and the sedimentation concentration is the lowest at this time. The design variables of the cyclone will determine the actual use effect of the cyclone. Therefore, in the design process of the hydrocyclone, the cyclone manufacturer also needs to understand the grinding purpose of the user and the follow-up process, so as to better ensure the better recovery of useful minerals in the follow-up process.
During the operation of the hydrocyclone, mineral particles enter the hydrocyclone through the ore pipe under the action of pressure. Under the action of centrifugal force, the coarse-grained ore particles move downward with the slurry and are finally discharged from the grit port, while the fine-grained ore particles flow upward with the slurry and are discharged from the overflow pipe.
Precautions for the use of hydrocyclones
1. The feed pressure of the hydrocyclone should remain stable. In actual operation, the number of hydrocyclones can be adjusted according to the changes in the amount of slurry and pressure to stabilize the feed pressure of the hydrocyclones.
2. Carefully grasp the life cycle of the wear parts of the hydrocyclone in order to anticipate the replacement of easy-to-wear parts. Ensure that the hydrocyclone concentrator is always in perfect working condition.
3. When the feed volume is insufficient, the pressure gauge pointer swings large and the amount of sand is unstable, the number of hydrocyclones should be reduced in time.
