The cyclone separator types are commonly divided into dehydration cyclone separator, desliming cyclone separator, deslagging cyclone separator, and concentration cyclone separator.

Dehydration cyclone separator

The dehydration cyclone is mainly used for the dehydration of various mineral slurries. According to different material characteristics and production environments, different structural designs are adopted. It has the advantages of a high dehydration rate and large processing capacity. In a tailings re-selection pulping and dewatering operation, the feed concentration is 5-12%, and the -200 mesh content is 75%. The average concentration of the overflow of the cyclone is controlled below 1.5%, which achieves the purpose of effective dehydration and avoids The loss of useful minerals. In the application of a certain silica sand dehydration operation, the overflow concentration of the dehydration cyclone reached below 0.5%, and the overflow was almost unqualified fine sludge, which achieved the dual effect of dehydration and desliming. The overflow water of the cyclone after settlement can be reused to save cost.

Desliming cyclone separator

The desliming cyclone separator is mainly used for desliming operations of various metal ores and non-metal slurries. After years of practice, the desliming cyclone has the advantages of high desliming efficiency, less loss of useful minerals, saving user costs, and improving production efficiency. Case: The discarded tailings of a silica placer mine accounted for 12.7% of argillaceous minerals, and the fineness of -325 mesh accounted for 39.3%. Almost all of the argillaceous minerals were stored in the -325 mesh level.

Deslagging cyclone separator

The deslagging cyclone is used in power plant wet desulphurization, lime pulping, crude oil deslagging, tap water desanding, sewage treatment, and other operations. The slag removing cyclone can effectively remove the coarse sand, metal, and other particles in the slurry, and has the advantages of slag removal and less loss of useful slurry.

Concentration cyclone separator

Concentration cyclones are often used in conjunction with thickeners and filters. It is applied to the concentration preparation before filtration of various minerals, the fine grinding flotation of minerals, the cyanidation of gold slurry, and the high-concentration transportation of tailings to realize the concentration of the slurry. The concentrated cyclone can be adjusted in terms of structure and installation according to customer requirements and the specific conditions of upstream and downstream operations to achieve the optimization of the use effect. The cyclone utilizes a unique internal structure design, which can produce a higher underflow concentration under the premise of a lower overflow concentration, improve production efficiency, reduce expenditures, and save costs.
