Small diameter hydrocyclones are mainly used for the separation of ultrafine particles, with a diameter of Φ10~50mm. Small diameter hydrocyclones have longer cylinders and smaller cone angles. Hydrocyclone is a device that uses the difference in centrifugal force on mixtures of different particle sizes or densities to separate them. The device has a simple structure, small footprint, low cost, easy maintenance, and good processing effect, and is widely used in various mineral processing plants.

Through research, the factors that affect the small diameter hydraulic separation indicators are: feed concentration, feed pressure, feed speed, feed particle size composition, etc. When separating materials with the same density and different particle size compositions, in the cross section of the material in the balanced rotation of the cyclone, the larger the distance between the particle group and the center of the cross section, the larger the particle size.
