How To Clean Vibration Motor Bearings？

Generally, after the vibration motor has been in normal operation for more than 1500 hours, it is necessary to clean the motor bearing and replace it with new high-temperature resistant lithium-based grease. So how to clean vibration motor bearings?

1. Hot oil cleaning

This method is mainly used for motor bearings hardened by soft dry oil or anti-rust paste. It should be immersed in thermal engine oil at 100-200°C, clamp the bearing with pliers, and clean the oil on the bearing with a brush. The soft dry oil or anti-rust paste will melt when heated to 100-200°C, and it can be easily washed out from the gap of the bearing. Sometimes as long as the bearing is shaken in the oil several times, the oil will flow away from the gap.

When cleaning the centripetal spherical bearings of motors or imported motors, the balls, ball frame, and inner ring should be turned out of the outer ring laterally and then immersed in hot oil. When cleaning short cylindrical roller bearings, the rollers, bead holders, inner rings and outer rings should also be disengaged. When cleaning with hot oil, the temperature of the oil should not exceed 20°C. If you use an open flame to heat directly, you should pay attention to prevent the oil from burning. The motor bearing should be suspended in the oil pan, and sinking to the bottom will cause overheating and reduce the hardness.

2. General cleaning method

Soak the bearing in kerosene for 5-10 minutes, pinch the inner ring with one hand, and turn the outer ring with the other hand, the dry oil or anti-rust paste on the bearing will fall off. Then put the bearing into cleaner kerosene, brush it with a soft brush, and clean the oil stains in the balls and gaps. Put it in gasoline and wash it once, take it out and put it on a clean paper. When cleaning radial spherical ball bearings and short cylindrical roller bearings, the balls, ball frame, inner ring and outer ring should be separated and cleaned.

The cleaning of the bearings installed on the shaft mainly depends on the method of spraying oil or spraying with oil gun. Be careful not to use sharp tools to scrape hard grease or rust on the bearing, so as not to damage the smoothness of the bearing rolling body and groove ring. Wipe the cleaned vibration motor bearings with a clean cloth.

Regular cleaning of the bearings is for the safe and efficient operation of the vibration motor. If the daily maintenance is not timely, it will cause greater economic losses to the enterprise.
