Structural Characteristics of Dewatering Screen Components

The dewatering screen is composed of multiple components, such as a screen box, screen plate, vibration exciter, elastic support device, flexible coupling, and so on. What roles do these components play on the dewatering screen, and what characteristics do they each have. The following lists are the structural characteristics of dewatering screen components.
1. Screen box: composed of the screen frame and screen plate
A. The screen frame of the dewatering screen is a metal structure connected by high-strength bolts, which is mainly composed of side plates, inner and outer reinforcing plates, beams, reinforcing beams, and supporting end beams. The side plate and the lower beam form a load-bearing truss, which is used to bear the load of the screen plate and material. The support end beam is connected with the elastic support device to bear the weight of the vibrating part of the screen machine. The feeding end beam and the feeding lining plate are arranged at the feeding end of the screen frame. There is a discharge end beam and a discharge lining plate at the discharge end.
B. The sieve plate is divided into a polyurethane screen panel and stainless steel welded screen plate. Polyurethane sieve plate is used for dehydration, de-intermediation and desliming, and stainless steel long rectangular hole or square hole sieve plate is used for classification. There are two types of screens: single-layer screen and double-layer screen.
2. Dewatering screen vibration exciter
The exciter is a block eccentric structure symmetrically arranged on both sides of the screen box. The symmetrical eccentric block is connected by a flexible connecting shaft or a universal drive shaft, and an intermediate protective cover is provided. The motor directly drives the exciter group through the flexible coupling. The amplitude can be adjusted by adjusting the number of counterweight plates or the angle between the main and auxiliary eccentric blocks.
3. Elastic support device
The screen machine is fixed on the building through four sets of elastic support devices, and the elastic support devices use rubber springs to reduce vibration.
4. Flexible coupling
The flexible coupling adopts a petal-shaped structure to connect with the exciter, which can bear a large starting torque, and can reduce the damage to the screening machine caused by over-resonance when the screening machine starts and stops.
